Assist Aspiring Pharmacists With Career Counseling & Preparation
MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. (November 15, 2012) — Townsend & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized staffing & recruiting firm providing cutting edge staffing solutions to Fortune 500, small- and medium-sized companies alike, recently conducted a career workshop at the Touro College of Pharmacy in Harlem, offering a variety of services to aspiring pharmacists.
The day-long event focused on helping students find employment upon graduation, with career counseling sessions on such topics as resume writing, letter writing, interview tips, what to wear, questions to ask, etc.
Townsend Recruiting Manager Melissa Torrisi also conducted a seminar, then broke the students into focus groups to explore future job opportunities and growth potential.
“We were very excited to work with such a fine group of career-driven individuals,” noted Torrisi. “They’ve spent 21 years in school, and are now ready to begin their careers. We were honored to help them begin the final preparations for this journey.”

Touro College of Pharmacy, located in New York City, is a four year Doctor of Pharmacy program which opened its doors in 2008. The College is ideally situated in the Harlem community of Manhattan, home to a large number of health care facilities, community organizations focused on health, an area rich in cultural heritage and diversity, and is fully accredited for its Doctor of Pharmacy program by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). This fall, the school enrolled its fifth class of approximately 100 students, bringing total enrollment to over 370 students.
